Translocation of PKC(e) is a marker of activity and can be blocked with isozyme specific peptides. This peptide is the myristoylated version of an octapeptide PKC(e) inhibitor (Cat# 880-15). Glu-Ala-Val-Ser-Leu-Lys-Pro-Thr-OH is a selective inhibitor of the translocation of PKC(e). It can be used to resolve the functions of PKC(e) from those of other PKC isozymes.
References
Obis et al. (2015) The novel protein kinase C epsilon isoform at the adult neuromuscular synapse: location, regulation by synaptic activity-dependent muscle contraction through TrkB signaling and coupling to ACh release. Molecular Brain (8) |
