| Product Description | Nitric Oxide is a radical compound, produced during the transformation of L-Arginine to Citrulline by Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS) and functions as the effector molecule for macrophage-mediated cytotoxicity. It has also been recognized to inhibit mitochondrial respiration and DNA synthesis as well as a suppressive factor that inhibits anti-tumor immune response. Our Nitric Oxide (NO) Detection Kit is based on modified diazotization assay method and used to detect total nitric oxide in cell culture supernatant, plasma, saliva and urine, etc. Since, the half-life of Nitric Oxide is very short, its accurate measurement is not possible and our kit detect Nitric Oxide by indirectly measuring the Nitrite (NO2-), which is a byproduct of Nitric Oxide transformation. The sensitivity of the detection range is between 0.1-50 uM. |
