It is a first-in-class brain aminopeptidase A (APA) inhibitor with a Ki of 200 nM. Firibastat selectively and specifically inhibits conversion of brain angiotensin-II into angiotensin-III and decreases blood pressure in hypertensive rats[1][2]. |
