New Nucleobase Analogues
A nucleobase analogue is a molecule that can substitute for a normal nucleobase in nucleic acids. The modifications created by snoRNPs improve the fitness of the eukaryotic ribosome at a number of levels, including subunit formation and stability, polysome formation, translation rate, and ribosome structure.
