CAR- T Cell therapy: CAR-T is a cross of immunotherapy, gene therapy, and cellular therapy. Various immunotherapies are based on checkpoint inhibitors that block the mechanisms that tumor cells use to hide from T cells. CAR-T is a promising approach for cancer and other diseases, especially severe cancers that do not respond well to other treatments. Coronavirus: There are seven known human coronaviruses, including the novel SARS-CoV-2. Four of these strains cause only mild respiratory symptoms. The SARS-CoV-2 virus consists of four different proteins and a strand of RNA. The most prominent feature, a trimer formed by the “Spike” protein, sticks out from the membrane and gives the virus its distinctive “corona” structure. Two other proteins, envelope protein and membrane protein, reside in the membrane between these spikes, providing structural integrity. CRISPR Cas9: CRISPR-Cas9 is a tool used for genome editing that has been adapted from the bacteria’s innate immune response. Bacteria capture and store DNA fragments from invading viruses or DNA within a region of their genome termed the CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) array. This region is continually transcribed, producing short CRISPR RNA (crRNA) guide sequences that, when they detect an invading virus or DNA whose sequence is complementary to it, bind and recruit the Cas9 (CRISPR-associated protein 9) nuclease, which then specifically cleaves the invading DNA. Cell lines: Cell lines have become an extremely useful tool for the study of protein interactions, gene activation, and other biological processes in a more natural biological system than cell-free assays. BPS has developed and selected for numerous stable cell lines that are applicable for a wide range of research applications. With BPS Bioscience's cell line development services, we can generate stable cell lines that continuously express proteins at high, homogeneous levels. BPS offers over 70 cell types across cancerous and noncancerous cell lines. They provide cell lines in three format: Overexpression cell lines, Reporter Cell lines and Lentivirus generated.

Drug Discovery: Immunotherapies based on targeting the immune checkpoint pathway are having clinical impact and are giving new hope to cancer patients. However, positive response to treatment is not guaranteed and resistance remains a concern. Improving outcomes based on immunotherapy requires multiple approaches for manipulating the complexities of the immune system and tumor microenvironment. To meet these challenges, a series of research tools have been created for screening antibodies, biologics, and small molecules against multiple immune-checkpoint pathways. Targets have been chosen from both immune activators and suppressors with the aim of obtaining precise control of the immune system.
