HRP/ALP- Conjugated Secondary Antibodies

Secondary antibodies are conjugated with HRP/ALP to increase their sensitivity and signal amplification when used in a number of assays, including ELISA, Western blotting, and microscopy. For the detection of an antigen or protein molecule, HRP/ALP substrates have been designed so that they will generate a chemiluminescent, chromogenic, or fluorescent signal upon oxidation. Conjugated secondary antibodies, which recognise primary antibodies, provide a signal for detection. Multiple polyclonal secondary antibodies can bind to each primary, providing signal amplification compared with a directly labelled primary antibody.
