G6D, also known as lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D (LY6G6D), is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. This family includes cell-surface proteins involved in the immune system and cellular recognition. LY6G6D is a disulfide-linked homodimer with an Ig-like V-type domain, interacting with GRB2 and GRB7 in a phosphorylation-dependent manner and thus playing a crucial role in their downstream signal transduction pathways.
