| Description | Pseudomonas P Agar is an agar medium used to detect pyocianin production by Pseudomonas spp. The salts Magnesium Chloride and Potassium Sulfate enhance the production of the iron chelator pyocianin (blue) by this genus. Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin also enhance pigment production and supplies nitrogenous sources, and Agar serves as gelifying agent. |
