Peptone provides amino acids, peptides, and other nitrogenous compounds. Yeast Extract is a source of B-complex vitamins and minerals. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Malt Extract is a source of carbohydrates, proteins, and nutrients. Agar is the gelifying agent. |
