| Description | Antigen Retrieval Solution is used to enhance the ability of a primary antibody to bind a specific epitope in FFPE tissue, used in immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques. Antigen Retrieval Solution manufactured by Cepham Life Sciences, contains 100mM Tris and 10mM EDTA at 10X concentration with pH 9.0. Our Antigen Retrieval Solution has been designed for use during the heat induced epitope retrieval (HIER) step in IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. The use of antigen retrieval solution in combination with heat restores the antigenicity of proteins modified during the formalin fixation of tissue. Our antigen retrieval solution is supplied as a 10X stock solution at pH. 9.0 with recommended dilution to 1X using molecular grade water, resulting in 10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA solution, pH 9.0. The antigen retrieval solution at 1X concentration is optimal for use with primary antibodies that require Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) pretreatment. |
