| Scientific Background | Inducible co-stimulator (ICOS), also called AILIM (activiation-inducible lymphocyte immunomediatory molecule) and CRP-1 (CD28-related protein-1), is a member of the growing CD28 family of immune costimulatory receptors. Other family members are CD28, CTLA-4 and PD-1. Human ICOS is a homodimeric type I transmembrane protein consisting of 199 amino acids (aa) with a putative 20 aa signal sequence, a 121 aa extracellular domain, a 23 aa transmembrane region, and a 35 aa cytoplasmic domain. |
| Molecular Mass | The protein has a predicted MW of 40.45 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 55-65 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
| Sl Sequence | Glu21-Phe141 |
| Solubility | Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking. |
| Appearance | Lyophilized |
| Endotoxin Levels | Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method. |
| Expression System | HEK293 |
| Gene Id | Q9Y6W8-1 |
| Amino Acid Sequence | Recombinant Human ICOS/CD278 (Q50A) Protein is expressed from HEK293 with hFc (IgG1) tag at the C-Terminus.It contains Glu21-Phe141. |
| Storage | -20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt.;-80°C for 3 months after reconstitution.;Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
