| Purity | > 95% as determined by Bis-Tris PAGE;> 90% as determined by HPLC |
| Scientific Background | Glanzmann thrombasthenia (GT) is characterized by mucocutaneous bleeding due to platelets that fail to aggregate in response to physiologic stimuli. GT, a rare inherited disease, is caused by quantitative or qualitative deficiencies of αIIbβ3, an integrin receptor for adhesive proteins. Coded by the ITGA2B and ITGB3 genes, αIIbβ3 mediates platelet-to-platelet attachment, aggregation and clot retraction. |
| Molecular Mass | The protein has a predicted MW of 109.80 kDa (ITGA2B) and 80.80 kDa (ITGB3). Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 90-113 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
| Sl Sequence | Leu32-Arg988(ITGA2B) acidic tail & Glu26-Asp717(ITGB3) basic tail |
| Solubility | Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking. |
| Appearance | Lyophilized |
| Endotoxin Levels | Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method. |
| Expression System | HEK293 |
| Gene Id | Q9QUM0(ITGA2B)&O54890(ITGB3) |
| Amino Acid Sequence | Recombinant Mouse Integrin alpha 2B beta 3 (ITGA2B&ITGB3) Heterodimer Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-Terminus of ITGA2B.It contains Leu32-Arg988 (ITGA2B) acidic tail and Glu26-Asp717 (ITGB3) basic tail. |
