| Scientific Background | MANSC1 contains 1 MANSC domain. MANSC is a seven-cysteine-containing domain present in animal membrane and extracellular proteins. MANSC (motif at N terminus with seven cysteines) is a novel domain with a well-conserved seven-cysteine motif that is present at the N terminus of membrane and extracellular proteins, including low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 11 (LRP-11), hepatocyte growth factor activator inhibitor 1 (HAI-1) and some uncharacterized proteins encoded by multicellular animals from Mollusca to Chordata. The MANSC domain in HAI-2 might function through binding with hepatocyte growth factor activator and matriptase[1]. |
| Molecular Mass | The protein has a predicted MW of 39.9 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 113-116 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
| Sl Sequence | Gln27-Leu385 |
| Solubility | Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking. |
| Appearance | Lyophilized |
| Endotoxin Levels | Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method. |
| Expression System | HEK293 |
| Gene Id | Q9H8J5 |
| Amino Acid Sequence | Recombinant Human MANSC1 Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-Terminus.It contains Gln27-Leu385. |
| Storage | -20 to -80°C for 24 months as supplied from date of receipt.;-80°C for 3 months after reconstitution.;Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
