| Scientific Background | TIR8, also known as single Ig IL-1-related receptor, is a member of the IL-1 receptor/Toll-like receptor (TLR) superfamily, which acts as an intracellular decoy for components of the signaling pathway. Structurally, it is characterized by a single extracellular Ig domain, an intracellular TIR domain and 95-aa cytoplasmic tail. Recently, TIR8 was shown to inhibit NF-B activation by members of the IL-1/TLR family. The inhibitory activity of TIR8 was associated with trapping of TRAF6 and IRAK1. |
| Molecular Mass | The protein has a predicted MW of 39.29 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 50-70 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
| Sl Sequence | Met1-His118 |
| Solubility | Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking. |
| Appearance | Lyophilized |
| Endotoxin Levels | Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method. |
| Expression System | HEK293 |
| Gene Id | Q6IA17-1 |
| Amino Acid Sequence | Recombinant Human SIGIRR Protein is expressed from HEK293 with hFc (IgG1) tag at the C-terminus.It contains Met1-His118. |
| Storage | -20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt.;-80°C for 3 months after reconstitution.;Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
