Scientific Background CD22, or cluster of differentiation-22, is a molecule belonging to the SIGLEC family of lectins. It is found on the surface of mature B cells and to a lesser extent on some immature B cells. CD22 a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD22 functions as an inhibitory receptor for B cell receptor (BCR) signaling. It is also involved in the B cell trafficking to Peyer's patches in mice.
Molecular Mass The protein has a predicted MW of 76.2 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 100-120 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result.
Sl Sequence Asp20-Arg687
Solubility Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking.
Appearance Lyophilized
Endotoxin Levels Less than 1 EU per μg by the LAL method.
