| Scientific Background | Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that triggers the expression of inflammatory molecules, including other cytokines and cell adhesion molecules. TNFα induces the expression of intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1). VCAM-1 was originally identified as a cell adhesion molecule that helps regulate inflammation-associated vascular adhesion and the transendothelial migration of leukocytes, such as macrophages and T cells. |
| Molecular Mass | The protein has a predicted MW of 75.48 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 80-100 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
| Sl Sequence | Phe25-Glu698 |
| Solubility | Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 μg or less, at 1mg/ml for 500μg or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking. |
| Appearance | Lyophilized |
| Endotoxin Levels | Less than 0.01 EU per μg by the LAL method. |
| Expression System | HEK293 |
| Gene Id | NP_035823.3 |
| Amino Acid Sequence | Recombinant Mouse VCAM-1/CD106 Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag at the C-Terminus.It contains Phe25-Glu698. |
| Storage | -20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt.;-80°C for 3 months after reconstitution.;Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
