AssaySense Chromogenic Activity Kits

Assaypro's chromogenic activity kits are designed to assess the activity of specific proteins in plasma, serum, and/or other biological fluids. The activity is measured via either direct or indirect amidolytic assay formats or integrates with immunofunctional formats. A specific substrate within the kits quantifies the amidolytic activity of the protein of interest, generating a yellow para-nitroaniline (pNA) chromophore. The variation in absorbance of the pNA at 405 nm correlates directly with the enzymatic activity of the targeted protein.

AssayLite™ Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorter (FACS)/Immunochemistry (IHC) Kits

Kit Controls

Positive Controls: The controls are derived from diseased or spiked samples containing a known concentration of the target antigen. They are utilized for assay validation and to indicate optimal performance.

Negative Controls: These controls are prepared using negative or deficient samples that are known to lack expression of the target antigen. They are used for assay validation to assess non-specific binding and detect false-positive results.

Recombinant Proteins

Recombinant proteins are a new combination of genes that form DNA. Recombinant DNA technology allows for the production of wild-type and modified human and mammalian proteins in bulk quantities. Assaypro's deficient products are developed by employing antibody affinity columns to remove the target antigen from plasma or serum. Antibodies for affinity purification are selected via an intensive screening process based on affinity and specificity. Albumin serves as a marker to assess the integrity of plasma or serum both before and after depletion. The efficiency of depletion is evaluated using ELISA.
