We Biotechno Labs are all set to cater to all the needs of research in cell cycle analysis with our
prominent partner Biocolor.

Biocolor was initially a spin-out company from Queen’s University Belfast.  They have been designing and developing dye-based assays and distributing them worldwide since 1992. The assays use dyes that bind to natural polymers such as complex carbohydrate, peptides and proteins. The process usually requires isolation of the target molecule or selectively altering the dye binding reaction conditions. We have produced a range of novel assays for
microgram detection and measurement levels.

 

The Cell-Clock™ Cell Cycle Assay is a live cell detection and measurement system that can be employed to monitor the four major phases of the mammalian cell cycle during in vitro culture. The assay uses a redox dye that is imported by cycling cells. Following dye uptake and incubation a distinct colour change occurs within cells, with particular colour changes being associated with cells in the G0-G1, S, G2 and M Phases. The ratio of cells within the different phases can be calculated using this assay supplemented by visible evidence from photomicrographs.  The calculation of phase ratios is obtained by computer software analysis (ImageJ) of the digitised images of photomicrographs.
